LSU 2019 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!
LSU’s game against South Carolina will air on ESPN, the Southeastern Conference announced Thursday.
Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. for a game relocated from Columbia, South Carolina, to Baton Rouge because of massive flooding in the Palmetto State. That announcement was made just before noon Wednesday. A time released a few hours afterward, but the television wasn’t revealed until Thursday morning.
The network made every effort to claim LSU and running back Leonard Fournette, the Heisman Trophy frontrunner, for its primary channel.
ESPN bumped several games from their scheduled network to make the move, including Minnesota at Purdue, which was scheduled for that time and channel. It has been moved to ESPNU. At least two other changes included UConn-Central Florida moving from ESPNU to ESPNews and Tulane-Temple, an 11 a.m. kick, moving from ESPNews to ESPNU. Six games were moved, according to this Tulane statement.
