I think besides Arizona State and West Virginia the only teams from Big conferences that lost to a mid major they were supposed to beat have been from the SEC.

Elon isnt a bad team at all and South Carolina is near the bottom of the SEC. The Cleveland State win over Vanderbilt isnt that bad either considering Cleveland State is a consistently decent team. The LSU loss is bad. But UCLA has losses to Loyola Marymount and MTSU. St. Joes beat GT. TCU beat UVA. Holy Cross demolished BC. etc

Mississippi State just beat # 18 Texas A&M and #16 Arizona back to back nights.

Typical Rick Stansbury teams, lose to garbage mid-major and then beat some solid teams. He should just schedule all Big 6 teams next year. He would probably go undefeated OOC then.

SEC teams are notorious for choking against mid-majors. Even in the tournament, it seems like if the SEC team can get by their lower seed mid-major, they can make a run.

Yeah, there's no way they schedule us (Elon) next year. Hopefully they can beat Missouri State and then win games in conference when they get Bruce Ellington from the football team.

Its hard to say, they're just gonna have to get hot at the end of the season and win the conference tournament. I think they should have a good chance to win the regular season but that won't get them into the tournament, unfortunately. They'll lose to Duke and UMass so their only chance at the tournament is winning the tournament.

These next two years should be a lot of fun though, because they only have one senior thats getting playing time this year.
