want an example of how stupid this stat is....-3 for kovalchuk last night. he was NOT EVEN close to being responsible for any of the goals scored just another reason the stat is stupid

He was invisible last night, but so was the whole team except for the Elias, Zajac combo.

These +/- stats can be OK for defensmen or goalies and only partially for "O".

im not saying if he was effective or not i didnt see the game...but i did see where he got the -3 and he shouldnt have. in fact he stopped a breakaway that was the 4th goal...its just a stupid stat that doesnt mean anything
