Raiders ($17.3 million), Steelers ($11.5 million), Texans ($8.5 million), Vikings ($5.6 million), Lions ($5 million), Cowboys ($3.7 million), and Panthers ($939,000).

Apparently with the new cba going into effect likely today, teams will have to be under the cap by Friday.

Might see a lot of cuts by those teams that we could potentially be interested in.

Newman is a name being thrown around out there.

Newman is out a few weeks with injury too. Sounds like the Raiders are restructuring Seymour.

"Seven teams are over cap and will have to be under by Friday: STL $100K: ATL $1 MIL: DAL $3 M; DET $8 M; HST $8.5 M; PIT $11M; OAK $12M."

his are probably more accurate

Our motto this off season seems to be "Patience" so maybe they try to round out a solid roster with other teams cuts. Seems likely. I have to say that I am really interested in seeing how this approach works. Well on the bright side at least we are not over paying right?

Any options at FS, WR, ILB better than Goldson/Williams, Edwards/Floyd, Bowman on Dallas, Detroit, Pit, Houston, or Oakland?

I dont know what the options are at this point but it seems likes Oakland will have to make a few cuts, and Pitt will as well.

Yea it would.. We'll see how much he actually loses out on, and if they make it up to him later in the contract. But that is being a great player and takin one for the team

Taking an $11 million pay cut? Wow. I'd have to think Oakland just adds that onto guaranteed money. Otherwise, he'd be taking a huge risk that they'd screw him over if his play dropped off.

i'm surprised detroit is over the cap so much. doesnt seem like they deal out that big of contracts? Other then I guess their high draft picks...

And for pittsburgh, I think I read an article recently that Big Ben was going to restructure his contract to save them money. Not sure how much or even if those are the numbers after the restructure though.

Yea when you look at detroit, it has to be the high draft picks killing them... Stafford, Suh and Megatron all have big contracts. Can't think of anyone else off the top of my head that has a big contract in detroit.
