I've said all along it's not the record I have a problem with. It is the incompetence on the field, it is the idiotic play calling, it is the lack of motivation, it is the lies and the freaking blowouts

edit: just added the lies on to the list but it is near the top with this last one about Martinez injury.

That means going 3 of the last 5.

I could see that if he's competitive in them.

If Martinez remains "injured" the rest the year his odds go way up. Unfortunately every game we win with Armstrong or Kellogg will make me think of every game we lost in the last 3 years. If he had worked with Kellogg how many titles would we have now? How many BCS bowls would we of played in. This bullshit of Kellogg not being ready was clearly 1) a lie because 2) he was not working with him to be able to use him.

Remember Nebraska was sitting there (5-2) last season and won their last 5 against basically the same schedule.

I think at least 3 of those 5 are better than they were last year or are in tougher venues (Mich St, Michigan, Penn St, and Iowa).

Many of those games were close wins (comeback) as well.

As far as the lies about TM injuries go, Yes it's bad, but there are laws about divulging medical info - not saying Bo is justified tho. 8 wins might save his job if he can figure out how to coach and not be out-coached in the other 2 losses (if the Huskers only lose twice more). If they reach 9 wins, his job is safe.

I don't see the comebacks happening this year. Those kids wanted last year. I don't see it this year.

If Martinez had been 100% I see his running as a factor. He is not though and I don't see him running again like his freshman year.

If I had to choose between TA and RKIII I actually would prefer Kellogg over Armstrong right now because of his ability to lead the team and his arm.

I like more the combination and Beck on a leash to not get cute. With that I think our offense could shoot against any of them.

Which they will have to because our defense :L

My thoughts on whether he should keep his job are it depends what Eichorst hears when they have a talk after the season.

When they're discussing the direction of the program, and Bo fails to mention replacing Dobson and Papuchis, if he fails too say he's going to replace the defennsive scheme, I start looking at different coaching options.

Counting a bowl game, right?

Cause if he loses two more regular season, that's just 8 wins.

The foul was not so much in the lie about the type of injury. It was the reason for that lie. He wanted an injured Martinez as an option even though he insisted he would be 100% if he played.

Then he through him under the bus with the "He looked me right in the eye and said he was good".

Martinez is a college kid who will be done with his football career in a few months. What the fuck do you think he is going to say? Pelini makes multi-millions and has coaches and trainers to answer those questions through medical tests and on the field tests.

The fact that he wants us to accept such incompetence as relying on a college kids evaluation is just one more reason to fire him.

If Bo survives this year its going to be a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong off-season with little to nothing looking forward toward future of the program.

I just hope Eichorst has the list irule put up earlier showing how many games Bo owns out of the top 25 most yards per play against the defense.

Bo owned half of them and you had to go back to the 50'ss or the HWSNBN era for the majority of the others.

Bo's defenses are not ready to start the season.

8-4 will not cut it imo

Softest schedule in the B1G with a team offensively LOADED in talent.
Obvious problem in team chemistry and identity on both sides of the ball.
Cannot win in one of the weaker conferences in the NCAA, everyone else is struggling in our division.
Blow out losses to any respectable team we play, shit the bed on the big stage.
Occasionally get upset by mediocre/bad teams (ISU/Northwestern/Minnesota)

Also, last year we finished 10-4...we came back to beat Wisconsin early in the year, then later had comebacks against NW and MSU. Flip a coin and last year and we could've been 7-7, 8-6, 7-6, 8-5 depending on if we still go to the CCG game or not.

I just can't do it anymore

we've shown absolutely zero improvement in the last 6 years with no promise for better things

8-4 means we would lose to two of:

Northwestern who's lost 4 in a row and looks very average
Michigan State with no offense
Michigan with a QB worse than Tito
Penn State with 20 scholarships
or Iowa.. :L

Just no thanks for me.. especially after the way this team quit against UCLA and Minnesota

HISL MINNESOTA HAS THE SAME GOALS AS US ITS UNREASONABLE FOR US TO EXPECT TO WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS WHEN 11 OTHER TEAMS IN CONFERENCE WANT THE SAME THING

8-4 ISN'T SO BAD BE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE.. A WINNING TEAM

MINNESOTA PLAYED THEIR TAILS OFF AND WAS TRYING TO WIN TOO

Bo's defenses are not ready to start the season.

Yes. Pretty hard to argue this.

Might arguably say the same for special teams and in years past the offense as well.

If we go 8-4 bye

Bo only hope to win out and beat osu
win out to get crushed doesn't and won't help him

osu will beat whoever they play by 28 they have to.
