I'm hoping that old crappy footballl was the problem. been using the same ball for 4 years now, without a new one. it was a little worn out, nothing left to hold on. Get them a new ball with some grip to it and hopefully the fumbling problem is gone.
I didn't understand that at all with T-mart. the ball doesn't make you, so why would you use that old beat up thing?
I don't think Taylor was a cancer. There were several games we won simply because of him making a couple of clutch plays.
I do, however, believe that he was not a good leader. It's not always a bad thing to have one guy that you can rely on to make big plays, but that guy needs to be someone the other players can look up to and Taylor just wasn't really that guy in my opinion. Good examples of players who were "that guy" are Tommie Frazier, Scott Frost, and Eric Crouch.
All those guys were very vocal and took a natural command over the rest of the guys in the huddle. Taylor kinda forced himself to start talking more and I just don't think the other players looked up to him as the leader unfortunately.
