I kind of look at it this way.

Bo is not afraid to go 1's vs 1's in practice.
These guys are practicing hard and things are competetive.
Injuries are part of the risk and the reason why many teams go 1's vs 2's or even the scout team.
Hopefully there will be big dividends for these efforts come game days..

In the old T.O. days players used to say playing in a game on Saturday was easier than practice.
