On Madden. Pulled the trigger after two straight divisional losses (swept by Minny, lost to Bears). Team immediately responded by downing the Chefs in London 24-10.

How would you feel if this really happened during the bye week?

I'd wonder if The Fords sold the team.

No shave November is when Caldwell makes things exciting though. We're almost there.

I read yesterday that Caldwell was not so impressed with Stafford running for first downs. Caldwell said that Stafford needs to limit his running and that it doesn't end well for running QBs. While that is true I think Caldwell shouldn't downplay that aspect of the Lions offense.

Stafford is smart enough to slide or go out of bounds in almost all cases. That sneaky ability to run keeps LBs honest and turns sacks and incompletions into positive plays 3 or 4 times per game.

Stafford still keeps his eyes down field and still wants to throw when forced out of the pocket unlike pure running QBs that abandon their passing duties as soon as the pressure heats up.

Caldwell's statements just show me he's out of touch with his QBs talents. Mike McCarthy wouldn't caution Rodgers about running the football. It is a known strength Of Rodgers game. Stafford came into the league a little pudgy and got labeled as unathletic. But he's hardly a Drew Bledsoe like statue back there. He could always scramble a bit.

When "pocket passer" style QBs run for first downs it can be deflating for the defense. When the Lions have good coverage downfield on the Packers and Rodgers pulls a 10 yard firstdown run out of a hat i want to break my TV. As long as Stafford is responsible about sliding and keeping his eyes downfield this running should be applauded and exploited by the Lions coaching staff.

Anyways... caldwell is a boring conservative coach and should be fired.

He was not impressed because Stafford was the leading rusher for most of the game. I would hardly call Staff a running QB.
Further proof Caldwell is clueless and I got suckered by a fresh start. Still glad it wasn't Whiz, he blows owes all his success to Warner.

What we saw out of Stafford on Sunday, we should see him try every week. Big throws, and improvising to create them. Really hope the coaching staff let's him loose again this Sunday.

I'm bored. Loved Sundays win, but 1-5 still has me hoping we clean house at the end of the year. At least on Madden I can control this lol

I'm working this Sunday, so somebody else is charge of giving Fog a break on the buttons. Besides, I failed miserably and gave up the INT.

I would once again be filled with false hope.
