If we are not in the top 3 we have no shot. Neither the Giants or Redskins would pass him up. Cincy and Miami will. If not there are a lot of OTs that we could snag too. If we dont get Chase in round 1 then I like Julian Okwara in the second round.

I wouldn't mind this choice if not in the race for last place to draft Chase.

He's one of the few in this class that I think could become a #1 for years to come. This draft class has a bevy of talent at the CB position but most I believe are more in line with being a #2 CB. CB position this year is truly deep in quantity but also in talent. jmo.

It's a weak class for the OT position this year that could come in and immediately start and be decent. There's lots question marks for this position. I'm sure the media will state how deep the OT position is but it lacks consistency and games started at the LT side. imo.

Lions lose next three games.
In position for #1 pick in the draft.
GB @ home.
GB resting all it's starters because playoff positioning is already set.
Stafford comes back week #17
Throws for 400 yards and 4 TD's
Guiding the Lions to victory in front of half empty stadium.

Lions move from #1 to #5.
Knocking them out of a move down for more draft picks and no Chase Young.

I want to see Slay traded this off-season whether it's at new league year or even the 1st night or more than likely the 2nd night of the draft. I doubt they can get anything more than a late 1st round or more in line with a 2nd round. Maybe they can get a conditional 3rd day pick if the team he's traded extends his contract.

Maybe if we can trade down if we don't get Chase Young and grab that Epenesea guy?
There are a couple awesome QB's coming out that teams would want to trade up and get.
Dolphins got a shit ton of picks.
We need pass rushers in the worst way.

Why the hell not. He's not interested in playing here anymore and there's no need to keep him another year and hope he gets a big contract somewhere else in 2021 as a FA and then wait another year to get a 4th round comp pick in 2022. I see no possibility in receiving anything more than that in a comp pick. Trade his ass now (after new league year) when there is a chance to get some kind of decent value for him.

ask Swarm what he honestly thinks and believes regarding Slay.

I have done some serious research and this is my initial mock draft for the Lions

Round 1 - Jaylon Johnson - CB - Utah
Round 2 - Leki Fotu - DT - Utah
Round 3 - Zack Moss - RB - Utah
Round 4 - Bradley Annae - DE - Utah
Round 5 - Julian Blackmon - S - Utah
Round 6 - Francis Bernard - LB - Utah
Round 7 - Tyler Huntley - QB - Utah

Its not a bad strategy especially if Amani continues to develop at the pace he is. By the end of the year he could be good enough and even better then Slay in the long run.

You mean in addition to the 1st or second rounder right?

So how many years left of Stafford's prime that's left are we going to waste on rebuilding the defense from scratch?

He only has maybe 2-3 years left at max of prime.
With no Slay we have Flowers and Walker as the only legitimate starters on defense. We sure and hell aren't filling all of them in one draft.
