i doubt horton walks too.. but as of now, i dont think thats completely unrealistic?

I suppose it could happen, but even if it does I expect a repeat of last year:

Homer is going to chase the big name FA, and bank on Perry signing with us while the "smaller" FAs go elsewhere.

With the Getzlaf extension, I fully expect a full on Cold War for Corey Perry come July 1st, with the Flyers being right in the middle of it.

though, i would be significantly less upset w/ homer if the flyers ended up w/ perry

however, with the new 'you're actually legally allowed to talk to them before UFA-day' thing might help the flyers sort through who they can get and who they cant, before all contracts are signed?

I mean, I suppose I can live with Perry on Giroux's wing.

His cap hit will likely be terrible, but I didn't even consider the "UFA talking period." That will come in handy.
