Lisfranc injury, out at least 6-8 weeks. Most people I've talked to said they would be surprised if he really contributed at all this year.

Yeah, not sure what he would have brought to the table anyhow??
Think this is now his third injury since camp opened, not looking good for his longevity....

Stop it. He was your 1st string RB. Now you're left with Dwyer and shit.

You won't win 7 games.

I liked his skill set but he carried the ball 382 times his senior year.....not good for the legs and feet.

Wasn't even sure what the hell a lisfranc injury was till I wiki'd

American football players occasionally acquire this injury, and it most often occurs when the athlete's foot is plantar flexed and another player lands on the heel.

Yeah I believe it is a specific type of fracture to the foot bone.

He was injury prone too as I recall?
Got a few years in with you guys though.

Actually he really wasn't injury prone in college. Like Bell, he was just used A TON. In his senior season, Lloyd Carr ran him into the ground. I seem to recall him carrying the ball close to 50 times in a single game against OSU (could have this wrong).

Anyway, he started getting injured in training camp of his rookie year and then missed that year with a sports hernia. He showed a lot of promise his second season as a change of pace guy and a receiving threat until he busted his leg. He then continued to hurt his leg until he was out of the league.

Perry only had 31 against OSU. He did have 51 carries against Michigan State.

Much like that Bell had 44 against Boise and 7 games of 32 carries or over.

Yep... Must have been that MSU game I was thinking of. Crazy. Ran the kid into the ground.

Bell had been moved to the top of the depth chart despite not practicing last week, prior to this past game. They were doing all they could to get him to the starting spot.

It hurts

They are counting on him. I think they will now have to use another roster spot on a RB...I do not think they wanted to keep Redman & Dwyer.

That said, from what the camps reports I've seen, he was not that much further ahead than Dwyer, better pass catcher, but not much quicker hitting the hole than Dwyer. Dwyer is highly motivated to get another NFL contract so I expect him to play well in his absence.

I did see the 7 comment...love it!

Tough break for Pittsburgh, as Ben has said this is the best OL he has ever played with. If they could have held on to Wallace, and had a legit RB threat, that offense would have been scary good this year. Several things not going well for the Ravens and Steelers so far in the season. The Bengals just need to avoid the injury bug. I think the healthiest team wins the division. Fortunately, it looks like the Bengals have a lot of talent and are pretty deep on their roster, so a couple injuries will not kill us as long as it is not Dalton, Green or Atkins.

Not sure how Ben can say this is the best line he has ever played with. They just got absolutely abused by the Redskins defensive front with no Orakpo. Unless they get significantly better, their oline isn't very good.

And they don't have any WRs that really scare defenses. Steelers fans can clamor all thy want that Brown is a better WR than Wallace, that Wallace only runs one route, that Wallace won't be that missed, but they are full of it. Every analyst, scout, and people who have higher connections than I said that defense game planned and feared Wallace far far more than they ever have Brown.
