My joke notwithstanding, I wonder if he was taking something to deal with the injury. The NFL bans HGH because they think of it as a performance enhancing drug, but it's best use is in injury rehab.

There's only 1 reason to miss a test: You know you're going to fail.

Didn't he already miss games last year due to a failed test? Seems to me there is a pattern (assuming he did miss time last year due to this). It's not what you want when you are coming off a major injury and in the final year of your contract.

There's no way he's going to get paid what he wants, especially considering these factors AND the fact that the NFL just doesn't value RB's like they used to. Hell, DW ran for 800 yards in 10 games for Pitt last year, showing that (at least in some fashion) Bell's stats can be replaced. AP is the highest paid RB at nearly 14-15M per year, after that it drops to 8M. If Bell thinks he's going to get 12-14M, he is kidding himself, especially now that he's looking at yet another drug related suspension.
