I don't think it's so much about "choosing" when they will play well and when they won't. It's more about getting to the point where they are playing their best basketball at the end of the season. The Spurs have it down to a science. The Lakers also had it down pretty good when Phil was the coach.

If the playoffs started today, the Spurs at 17-11 would be the #7 seed, but I doubt you'll find anyone who thinks that they won't be among the top 4 seeds in the West once the playoffs start.

Mavericks made it interesting in the final period, but the Hawks looked great tonight. We've beaten four teams that are expected to contend in a row now. Very nice!

I loved them last spring to be good this season.


I laid down a "futures" bet for them to win the EAST over the Summer.


My 30/1 has been reduced to 15/1.....some value to the ticket now.


It still is probably unlikely, but it is cool to see them in striking distance....albeit very early in the season.
