I'm not all that surprised though. They would have been a top 5 seed last year if the injury bug did not hit them hard.

I'm expecting a first round match-up of the Hawks vs Wizards....Not sure which team gets HCA

The East will be fine. I see 5 teams that can get 50+ wins out East. It isn't the West but it is improving

It's getting more balanced for sure. I still think its the cavs as they develop mojo but damn those raptors and hawks could contend with bulls cavs

I think it is a little too early to show the Hawks much love. Yes, they have a nice winning streak going and are tied for 2nd in the East. However, their schedule has been a little light so far.

To me they only really have wins against quality opponents: @ Miami and @Washington. Get back to me around Christmas; their next 3 are Philly and a couple against Orlando, then the schedule picks up with games against CHI, @CLE, @HOU, @DAL, and LAC. If they can win 3 out of those last 5 before Christmas then I will start showing them some love. Until then I will assume they are still the same old Hawks destined for a middle/low seed and an early playoff exit.

Like Logic said, our schedule has been fairly weak so far. We're definitely playing good basketball, but I'm still not sure this team is good enough to get past the second round quite yet. Definitely love the direction the team is going though.

Beat the Bulls on Monday and now up 20 in the 4th in Cleveland

This has been such an amazing stretch for Atlanta. I thought we would two of these five games and go 0-3 in the road games in this stretch, but they've been very good this season.
