I'm hoping he wins the job too and feel confident that he will. The point is he hasn't yet so I can't put him down as the key to our defense. Heck even if he does win the job I can't put down a first year starting safety as the key to our defense.

Johnson looked decent to me in the preseason last year. Too bad he probably will never see the field. I never could figure out why Wilcox was not given more playing time last season. Heath flat out stunk. Wilcox at least has the potential to make a game changing play.
