At 1.5 million some team should give him a shot. I doubt it will be the Isles though. Garth Snow likes Nathan Lawson. Plus with the Roloson trade they finally have the goalies set in Bridgeport. Now Poulin & Koskinen can battle it out. However I think Poulin has already proven to be the better goalie & he's 2 years younger.

Lawson is still unproven though, and with Rolli gone and Dipietro never being healthy for an entire season, I think picking Leighton up would have been to the team's benefit. They are on a good streak in the last ten and are just beginning to build some confidence. Young goalies being put in a #1 spot when they may or may not be ready is a big gamble with that goalies confidence and certainly the confidence of the team going forward. All of this is speculation, however, because I have no idea what was discussed between members of the Isles management.
