This is Dan's MO. I have told you before my brother worked there. Dan has tried putting on a different costume but he is still the same guy. Had another friend that sold him office equipment way before he was a team owner, he still fits the description of what that person told and how Dan and his wife acted.

If you are ehb or someone like that who might have a chance of out living him then maybe you'll see winning football again but I have 10 years on ole Danny Boy and it doesn't look good for me. Go Rams!?!?

So here's the latest. Chris Russell was on Grant and Danny today and said he was told Dan feels the dwindling attendance is due to bad publicity surrounding the team.

Said Dan is upset with Doug, but even more upset with Bruce. Bruce got tired if having to face and deal with the media. That is why Doug is where he is. They respect Eric and Kyle Smith so much, they are basically trying to hide them so they don't get poached.

This was the second time Doug put his foot in his mouth according to Dan via Chris Russell and Dan is mad because Bruce is the one who propped up Doug for the position.

Dan also feels the whole Scot McCloughan ordeal created a bunch of bad press and it was Bruce's idea to bring in Scot.

Chris Russell says if the Scot arbitration hearing doesn't end in the Skins favor, that could be really bad for Bruce.

There were strong rumors that Kyle Smith controlled the draft. I can see him being the next GM. If the team wins the attendance will go up. Most Redskins fans see this team going in the right direction.

Go the hell away!! If, as rumored, the Raiders are interested in your services, don't hesitate, take the job. I've read this story and unsurprisingly, you have no instinctual managerial skills. This move no matter how out of order, has helped the team and nowhere in your self gratifying, small self serving world did it occur to you that none of this had to be?

How difficult could it have been for you to privately dress down Williams and Schaffer, report the move to Snyder as a collaborative effort and kept it all in-house? It's obvious that your best move is to let all of this go public in order to undermine who gets credit and align yourself with the boss's public temper tantrum. Now that it's out, I want to you to keep this in mind...the other side of the coin...If the team continues to be successful with Peterson, how long will it be before your boss, Dan Snyder, figures out that your admission of zero knowledge, also means that he doesn't need you!

What if Snyder's pissed because Allen lied and said he was involved in the AP signing and now Snyder now knows that to be a lie. Even if Snyder didn't know off or approve the AP signing when AP was actually signed. It would be odd even for Snyder's triflin ass to get mad about it now. But if Allen lied to Snyder about it and Snyder just found out via DW's interview. That would be a perfectly valid reason to be mad at Allen.

Maybe kbso is on point as well. Peeps at Redskins Park can sense heads are about to roll with another disappointing season and they wanna make sure Snyder knows what's what if/when the chopping block comes out

Someone posted above that the real reason Dan is upset is the embarrassing turnout for the home opener and the lackluster ticket sales. This makes a lot more sense. He is looking for someone to blame and Bruce is the most likely candidate. OF course Bruce will be looking for his own scapegoat.....hello Doug.

Silver lining here is that Allen may be gone within the next year or so (which is what most people here want - spare us the "Get rid of Snyder" cries - ain't happening). Regardless of Allen's ability to get a new stadium in VA Snyder may be getting tired of his act. One can dream...

I agree with you about the opening day turnout. However, we all know Dan loves having ex players around. Theismann, Sinny, Portis, D Hall, Cooley. It would be hard to see Dan allowing Bruce to run Doug outta town. More bad press. I think Bruce is the one on thin ice, especially with Lafamina in town.

This IS NOT a story. Issues with checks and balances in day to day operations I can almost guarantee happens for 31 other teams in this league. It only gets written about and discussed when its the Redskins because of the meddling local media. This also happens during bye week when there isnt much to write or talk about regarding skins.

The top problem with this team is Snyder but there are a lot of other issues with this organization. The DC local media is out of control as well. Chris Russel hates Bruce Allen so he will do whatever he can to post hit pieces especially during a slow lull in news such as the bye week.

I feel more and more justified by the day

bc its irrelevant.. it was just an everyday radio interview.

To me it wasnt something that warranted follow up articles and cryptic tweets about unrest at redskins park

I was just talking about this on Sunday.... the Skins reporting is as bad as they get. Chris Russel even sent me a DM on twitter all the way back in 2014 admitting as much. I should screen shot it here.

Dianna Rousini and Brit Mchenry covering the skins was at the peak of awfulness.

The one report he DMed me about in particular was from Rousini when she ran with a story that the players hate RG3 because they were being loud in the locker room while he was being interviewed.... I called her out on twitter and was a big prick....

Chris Russel literally DMed me and goes verbatim:

"I dont want to make a big deal of this publically - but please take a step back and realize how difficult our job is when we are being told all sorts of stuff off-record & can not quote or name sources. Also, Dianna's not perfect but please b nicer 2 her"

Again, Snyder is a huge asshole and the biggest problem with this clown show. The local media isnt blameless either and is 1 of many other problems with this franchise.
