Oxilator, I'm in for the 1pm game Jan 3 - my hockey season doesn't kick off until 1/10.

Not sure who I will bring - may be Ms. Little Puck (not so little now, she turned 9 in October) most likely - but regardless I'll be there with one of the kids.

If they are available still, count me in for the 2.

Got your email Ox, been super busy but will try and respond as soon as I can (completing 5 deals I need to turn into the office, have a sick Pucky Jr. I with me at home, our kitchen faucet broke so I am replacing that right now since we have guests coming over for Christmas Eve and Christmas and the kitchen needs to be working, Ms. Puck's Toyota has a leaky oil filter now and I'm assuming I did more damage than I originally thought the day after Thanksgiving even though we went to the mechanic this morning and I have a root canal at 4pm today - did I mention this is all TODAY???) but no worries, next time.

Good lord, is that what the 300s are going for these days? I remember in 2010 those were $35 seats.

I love the success the Kings have had, but I sure loved dragging the family to a game for $300, and that was a suite back in March 2011 (Mrs. Puck, Little Puck, Loco, me and the two middle kids who were both under 1). It was awesome taking at least some of the kids and having a good time. Two Cups and a capped team later however this is one of the by products - escalated prices and people being priced out.

Pricing it out now, it would be about $750 which is out of the budget for a few years until some of the kids start school instead of preschool and daycare (3 in currently), which is close to $2800 a month. That's a freaking mortgage payment right there.

Lesson to the youngsters: keep your dick in your pants.

Yep the price of success, I tried to scalp some tickets to the game as well and outside some guys wanted $120 for upper bowl.

That's insane, hopefully within the next 2-3 years I can afford season seats with the kids leaving preschool but for now it's a huge chunk of money to take the whole fam damily.

Those are big reasons why the offer from the guys with the seats in front of me are such a good deal for games they can't make. $80 for the pair is just over what a single ticket is going for. If there is a game anyone is interested in let me know and I'll see if the seats will be up for sale. I think they try to make the big opponents like Detroit, Chicago and the New York teams though.
