So was thinking back whats the last outfielder this organization produced from its system?,,,,, is the last Outfielder this organization produced Raul Ibanez? And even then we traded him away , then he got good in KC and signed back.....

Jose Cruz Jr.? Who we also traded away.

Choo,,, traded away.

I honestly can't remember the last servicable outfielder that was brought up, then had success at the majors. Was it Griffey?????

Forget outfielders. How about we talk about position players in general. I would say the last real good position player produced was A-rod. I am almost hesitant to even count Ibanez because we got rid of him before he became good in KC and then had to sign him back. After that the best I can come up with is a guy like Jose Lopez who was not even that amazing.

Ok, because I'm a geek who likes this kind of thing, I decided to come up with a list of players who spent more than half their minor league experience with Seattle before making it as an everyday major league player since 1995 (some would have been in minors before '95, but not in the majors). I only checked the rosters for Tacoma from 1995 to 2009, so there may be a few I missed who fit, but as it is this is gonna be long.

Forgot about Assdribble Cabrera.
Good list. Where is Scott Podsednik? Was he developed in a different organization?

Also, to no surprise, most of the pre-Safeco guys are position players and most of the post-Safeco guys are pitchers.

Podsednik was drafted by Texas. He played 314 in the Rangers minor system (1994-95 & 1998-2000). He also played 243 games for the Marlins minor system (1996-97), he was a player to be named later in a deal that sent Bobby Witt back to Texas in 1995. He signed with Seattle as a free agent in 2001, played 191 games in Tacoma (19 in Seattle) before being claimed off waivers by Milwaukee.

Mike Morse was another guy I thought would make the list, but he spent a good portion of his development with the White Sox.
