i am not with lance. i am sick of hockey taking a back seat. nbc saying they will turn off the game for like 3 hours of horse race talk followed by a 3 minute race. time for hockey to push back.

Maybe if the NHL ever got off that God-forsaken channel, Lance wouldn't have to... say those things.

There's got to be something clever to put there, but closing in on 1am, I got nothing.

I agree with Lance. Its it the rule of thumb when showing a live sport to not cut away before its over? And for a pregame show? Hes right. Just because NBC did it, doesnt mean its the norm or right.

43 will probably remember; when the games were on ABC the local affiliate here used to show college lacrosse instead of the NHL game. When they would show a shot of the stands there looked to be 10 or 15 people there watching, so the local affiliate knew they had a winner.

Second, totally agree with Lance. End of an actual sporting event > pre-game coverage of another event.

Hockey fans would be pissing and moaning if this happened to us b/c some basketball game was starting, so it seems hypocritical to use the "hockey is more important" reasoning. Nobody is suggesting not showing the hockey game. They should have finished the race.

I want to punch Floyd Landis. He maintained his innocence while everyone on earth who's ever been remotely connected with anything bike related knows what he did to win the Tour was physically impossible. And after no one bought his bullshit book, now he's finally going to admit it but then smear everyone else, true or not.

Well said. Even those who bought his book have come out and said what a bunch of BS it is. Landis wiped his bank accounts out by paying for his lawyers and defense team - he's now broke and a proven fraud and liar. He has no proof other than his word, so why is he trying to out these names now? He's a POS and got what he deserved.
