One play he made really stood out for me today. One of Kaep's 20ish yard scrambles late against a big blitz, James slid over and picked up Matthews in pass pro like it was nothing.

The kid's grown up.

I saw that on the replay, it was a great block that I wouldn't of expected out of James.

Noticed it! That was big-time!

I liked his lay-out of Woodson and (some team assistant) on the sideline during one of Kaps scrambles. Woodson got up as if he was looking for the truck that hit him and it was 23 - I felt it was an equalizer for the Crabtree oob body-slam early in the game.

Guys, what are you talking about? According to TT, Lamichael was a bust! It's about time a 2nd round pick made a contribution in his first year.

I want to see him in open space so bad. He's been real close a few times. I'm waiting for him to explode on a run or screen.

He has been an arm tackle away a few times this year. Hopefully Frank takes him under his wing this off season and get him moving that tire up that hill in Miami so he can break that arm tackle and take it to the house

he was taught well in college to block like that. I can't wait to see him get more use, also he is really good to throw to in the flat.

I'm now a convert. He has acquitted himself well the last couple of weeks, culminating in his best performance of the year last night.

I know exactly which play you're talking about. I didn't catch it live(thot it was Gore) but after replays/highlights x20, lol, i notice it was #23 and I was impressed...

fucking good sh*t from LMJ... balled last night

:agree: He has demonstrated agility and has made a couple very athletic (low, behind) catches already - no question he has some excellent hands.

We're all going to be very impressed when he gets involved in the passing game. He has hands like a wr. I'm calling a wheel route td for him during this postseason.

Look for him to be the x factor next game, regardless of who we play.

You have to realize that TT is the joke of the board, everything he says must be taken with a grain of salt. 99% of the time it seems like he is rooting for the 49ers to lose

Definitely a great block, and he's looking a bit quicker running the ball than he was first. He and Hunter might be able to cut it in the years ahead, and maybe even Dixon as the complementary bruiser.

I've thought about this (probably more than this topic deserves) and I have decided that TT/NN/MG is very much a 49ers fan. He just lacks fortitude. He'd rather prepare himself mentally/emotionally for us to lose than plan for a win. That way, if we lose it hurts less and if we win it's max joy for him.

Pretty close. What is really max joy is a 49er win but they don't cover. Happened to me in the '02 playoff game against the Giants when they won 39-38 but were favored by 2.5.

I'm certainly feeling better about Gore's time on this team coming to an end with Hunter and LMJ.

James has showed us that he's a tougher runner than what the naysayers said. If we believed the naysayers, we would think that a defender getting a pinky on James would be enough to bring him down.
