Everytime I watch this kid get the ball I expect him to break it for a TD. I'd really like to pick him up regardless of whether we pick a RB in the 1st or 2nd or not. Get rid of Benson and Scott. A backfield of Polk, James, and Leonard sounds good to me.

I wouldnt be opposed to them drafting James as long as it's in the 3rd and they already brought in a RB (like Polk) before him. He's small but he's tough and just makes plays. As long as they drafted somebody to be a first and second down back would have no issue with James in the Sproles role. They have enough picks (they have two in the second assuming they get a comp for JJ) to where they have that luxury.

Exactly. He is 195 so he isn't tiny. 5'9 195 isn't terrible. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing in a Hillis or a Lynch type runner in FA and drafting James in the 3rd. He is a home run hitter. Plus he can catch, which in the WC system is a huge plus. But with all the extra picks we could afford to pick 2 RB's early like that.

He might be listed at 195 but I aint buying that. He is small. We'll see what he weighs in at the combine. Either way I like him...but strictly in a limited role. Keep him on the field too long v the Steelers and Ravens and he'll get himself killed (not to mention our QB if he has to pass protect)

I would love for this offense to have a Sproles/Reggie Bush type......James might fit the bill.....

Why not? If we have 5 in the first 3 rounds. Also look at what Sproles does for NO. After Brees he is the most important player on that team. But James can't be an every down back just like Sproles can't. I'd be fine with our first 5 picks being an OG, CB, S, RB, RB in no particular order. That would be a fantastic draft. My idea draft would be DeCastro, Jenkins, Polk, Martin, James. That would give us a OG, CB, RB, S, RB. Perfect first 5 picks.

No thanks. I'd just as soon take a shot at replacing both Gs or Simpson rather than draft 2 RBs. Or even draft another S to replace both of ours. Or a LB for depth there, especially if we don't resign Lawson or Rivers.

I don't want to draft a backup with a top 3 pick which is what a LBer would be. Even if we don't bring Lawson back we have Moch to work into the lineup. We have Boling at OG, we have Mays to try at S. I'd rather have a Sproles impact player. He impacts the Saints team like no one other that Brees does.

I'd also rather sign a WR than draft one. Plenty out there and with the emergence of Hawkins and Shipley coming back I don't really see WR as a need. Especially since ibsee Simpson coming back.

It's better than trying to use 2 rookie RBs. I'd rather sign a FA RB than waste 2 high picks on one.

That's fine. I said I'd be fine with signing a Lynch or Hillis type guy and draft James.

No.

And LOL @ Moch. Just stop. He'll never play a down in the NFL.
