Give me a break. They have some players on defense, without a doubt. And don't give me that crap about how Nelson/Cobb wouldn't be anything without Rodgers. I know those type of receivers when I see them… Nelson sure as hell ain't one of them. He'd thrive anywhere. As I think Cobb would too.

Not in chicago. Green bay receivers turn and the ball is in their hands. Its that simple. Nobody that left green bay has done much at all. You make these guys fight for every catch and they wont do much.

I guess all I am reading is that team is nothing with out a leader and that leader makes all the difference in this team.

Where are you reading this? I'm not convinced a team needs a "leader", so to speak. Just a group of veteran guys who lead by example is MORE than enough, as long as you have adequate coaching. Many hall of fame QB's were outright disliked by their teammates. Joe Montana being the most notable.

Also, of course a WR needs a QB. But if Alshon and BM are pro bowlers under Jay… than you better damned well believe Nelson is. Probably Cobb as well.

Greg Jennings went to play for freaking Christian Ponder. Big difference. He was also great with Favre. Who definitely did his fair share of not putting the ball on the money.

Who are the leaders? Trestman gives different players the C every week. The leaders deserve to wear that the entire season to get the respect of the rest of the team. Dont you see the possibility of these young players saying, you are not the captain this week, you cant tell me what to do?

IDK. I'm tired of trying to figure this team out.

Nah.

About averarge, but certainly not bad. If Rodgers/Cutler switched places, they'd be about where we are, depending on how the breaks fell… maybe they're one or two games better than us.

Green Bay's defense doesn't leave any of our WRs as smoking wide open as was Jordy Nelson so their DBs are better. And Green Bay can run all day if they want and pass all day, so they obviously can draft a better OL. Their RB doesn't fall down from ankle swipes like Forte, etc.

Yeah, we consistently suck in zone coverage. I understand that the DB's and LB's are responsible for an area on the field, but when receivers enter their area, shouldn't they cozy up to that receiver? Green Bay plays zone and once one of our receivers enter their zone, they smother them. Conversely our DB's in zone coverage always seem to be about 10 yards away.

I really don't understand it since it seems it would be easily recognized in film sessions and easily remedied.

Well, when your giving opposing WR's 6-10 yards of cushion and playing zone your basically giving damn near every QB a gift wrapped completion.

Once he makes his cut, he's already inside the DB zone and still has plenty of time to catch the ball and run while our LB's are bailing out of the A gap.

That is about how I see it. I keep hearing how GB drafts their own players and that is so great. But they miss on players about the same as anyone. Their def plays with a lead and is not on the field as much because the O is great. Outside of AR I see a very average team. Nelson is great, Cobb is good, Lacy is a great fit. But every team has a few top players. Overall GB has had the same weak spots year in and year out, hidden by great QB play. I'm not trying to knock GB, but I'm tired of hearing about how they draft their own talent as that has nothing to do with why they are winning. They are winning because they have one of the few elite QBs. Not because they put a great team together.

We have none. None on offense. None on Defense. None on the coaching staff. This ship has no rudder. We used to have a team full of leaders. No leaders = no pride = no passion. The one guy that tried to be a leader was accused of being nuts again (BM). The one guy that has the teams respect is just too nice (Forte). None of the young guys are ready to lead. I miss BU. We need that type of guy again. I know I'm just venting but having that leader is key to any team in any sport.

agreed. it starts with the head coach, looks like hes checked out completely.

The Bears' upper brass fucked this whole thing in a major way. The way it went down was goofy as hell. Fire Angelo, but keep HIS coach for another year. A year that everyone knew would be his last, but then in some weird twist of confusion, hire Angelo's protege to replace him, almost like Lovie was still in the future plans, or like they didn't want to ruffle TOO many feathers in the staff and players. But then let most those players go anyway??

Then fire Lovie, and bring in an alleged QB guru, and hire the worst fucking DC in the NFL 3 years running.

The only hire I liked was Kromer, and he's not even calling the fucking plays!?

You don't fire the GM, but keep his coach for another wasted year. Then, after everyone is clamoring for a fresh change, turn around and hire Angelo Jr.

If it were me, Kromer would be the interim, starting tomorrow. Everyone else, pack yer fucking shit and GTFO.

i was an Angelo supporter and i still am.
