Volquez might be a long shot for a CG, much less a shutout, much less a no-no.

Everyone knows Nolan Ryan had 7 no hitters... but did you know he had like, 19 ONE hitters ? That's one pitch per game away from 26 no hitters...

Who's 2nd on the all-time no hitter list, and how many did he/they throw ?

Koufax has 3, I think.

Speedy is actually buried in the same cemetery as my mother. Yeah, those damned coincidences.

Had I never heard his brother Tom interviewed about 40 years ago, I would have never heard of this kid, and him being the ultimate baseball 1 day wonder.
