And the prognostication that the Demise of the PHillies began after the
loss to the Cardinals in the 2011 playoffs?

R Amaro was burying this Philly team with no farm system, aging players with no
future? Overpriced contracts to guys like Ryan Howard. I believe nitram and
cedrique were the leaders of the :cheer2:

Whoever said that back on the ESPN boards was 100% correct, 100%. I can't
remember who detailed it but they were incredibly intelligent with foresight beyond
what amaro could see. Phillies are going to be bad for many years to come.

Amaro made it clear that win now was the new philosophy. They gave him the checkbook and off he went!

Time to move on from Ryan Howard and Cliff Lee who have proven themselves to be money-grubbing doofs that say one thing and do another. This team is indeed going to bad for a long time and the sad part about this is all that cable money is going to be wasted when they could have easily been on their way to building a jaugernaut from back in 2011 if they had a GM that actually had a clue about his job and how to build a winner with a good feeder farm system with this organization.

What does it mean to be the leaders of the :cheer2:? Also, are you a mixture of Nick Sobotka and The Greek?

At least Lee can still be a very effective player. Howard just blows now.

Howard does suck and I think Lee will be a Yankee in two weeks.

cool story, bro

Cedrique, que pasa?

You remember that Cardinal fan that busted your gonads, nitram and a bunch of other Philly clowns back in 2011 when you were talking sweep and on the old espn boards? Of course you remember!

It only took a few years to have all the prognostications to come to fruition for the Philly squad. The fans walked the Walt Whitman and jumped. Now the attendance is in the toilet as is the future of the Phillies.

Amaro has to be the worst GM ever. He gets $175mm to spend and he builds a geriatric AAA team.

Reuben Amaro..... :pound: :L

The Phillies are officially a geriatric AAA team and are done for another 5+ years.

Just like I said in 2011. The Phillies were old and Amaro wasn't smart enough to unload aging players and build the farm system. The Cardinals let Pujols walk and received a 1st and 3rd which turned in Wacha, Wacha, Wacha. Phillies burn $175mm for What? :L

Forward 3 years and Amaro wasn't smart enough to unload aging players and build the farm system.

I warned you. No one would listen to the Guru.... Bam!! :yahoo:

You were right then Nick and you are right now especially with this: Forward 3 years and Amaro wasn't smart enough to unload aging players and build the farm system.

But he did unload the farm and he did build the aging players. When Amaro was a young boy his mother asked what color chalk was and he said black. When he was a teenager his 1st car was a Ford
Camaro! Now an adult he has a house with 2 back doors an no entrance! He is a true classic!

Pretty sure NickTheDick was one of the tards that insisted that Pence was a 5 tool player and guaranteed the Phillies a World Series victory if the Phillies traded for him.

Wasn't he also the guy on ESPN that had the avatar that was a picture of his wife from 1985 or something? I remember one of the regular posters tracked down the pic and it turned out to be some chick that banged an entire NBA team, like the Supersonics or something.
