I don't see that happening. KC is in the drivers seat, but I just can't see SM letting him walk as we have no other realistic options. I bet they come to an agreement soon after the season. I can see a 3 year deal loaded with incentives that could get KC into the $15-18m range. Base could be $12-14m with a large signing bonus and about a 3rd guaranteed.

I honestly hope that you have it right J_y19, but after reading the article my concern index went from about a 2 to maybe a 5.5. There is the whole business aspect to the game and KC and/or his agent may very well use the "what other option do they have" card to get or not what they want from DC or elsewhere, respectively.

I suppose that this is possible, but I don't see it at least in terms of playing elsewhere. Cousins seems pretty down to earth & very comfortable with the current situation. Remember - most players would rather stay with their current team so that they don't have to uproot their family, learn a new system, etc.

Assuming that he gets a respectable offer why wouldn't he stay in DC? Gruden loves the guy, he is very familiar with his teammates & this team shows real promise in getting the rt amount of talent to support him during the next several years. A new team might mean a few more $$ but would also add the risk of lesser talent, a coach that doesn't support him and other risks. I think that the odds are very good that Cousins stays in DC.
