Aren't you a Ducks fan?
Got home late and just fast forwarded through periods one and two. Brown being out is a bummer. I don't think he was aiming for the head. He was trying to make a big hit and the Wild guy did not see him coming. I don't think any further penalty will happen. Tied at two with the 3rd period to go. Kings play best in the third.
I'll jump on the Wild's side. Didja see what that dirty, stinkin' Dustin Brown did?
Yeah, I guess.
The Ducks must really be hurting for fans this year - got 2 tix for this Friday night against the Devils for a 25 dollar donation to children of military parents overseas - so I get to see two of the worst teams in the NHL play and the 25dollars is fully tax deductible. Sweet

Yeah looking at the hit it is a tough call. Brown was aiming for the shoulder but during the shot the Wild player's head drops lower that his shoulder and Brown hits his head. i don't think he was aiming for the head or if the head was the primary contact point. Since Brown is know as a "clean" hitter that may weigh into the ruling.

Nice work, esls. Are you no longer in Whitefish?
No, I live and work in LA now. Been here since just after Christmas.
I hope so, too. But the ref made an OK call. Probably only a couple inches away from being a really bad hit. Glad Miettinen's OK. A 5 minute major and game misconduct makes the point, but with Campbell you never, ever know. Ever.
