I don't know if you played the first one, but it seemed to fix all the ills from the first game for the most part. 100+ hour vast open world game with an incredible level of detail. Taking place in 1500s Czech Republic. When you begin playing the game, it could seem daunting at first but, there is so many ways to get stronger and better. The perk system is one of the best leveling up features you will find in a game. After the prologue, you set to do whatever you want. Steal items, kill npcs, find treasures, grave dig, etc. But being caught committing crimes can open you up to a unique punishment system. NPCs have 24 lives; they react to you and the world. From greeting you to commenting on your clothes, lack thereof, even your cleanliness. INPCs keep their clothes in a chest in their house. If you steal their clothes, they may let the guards know and are stuck wearing their sleepwear. The quests are well written and drawn out. Bad blood quest is a great side quest is a perfect example of that. They created a great immersive world where you can lost in and that is priceless. So far, 2025 has its first game of the year nominee.

On Metacritic the critics gave it 8.8 while the gamers gave it 8.7.

I’ve been playing it but haven’t got very far yet, I basically now just unlocked free exploration. I absolutely loved the first one.

This game is so good and it’s way more polished than the first one was at launch, I’m excited to pour hundreds of hours into this game, even if it takes a year. Haha

There’s definitely visual glitches in many areas, the biggest issue with the first one (before they patched it all) were a ton of broken quests, from what I’ve read though many people are saying they haven’t experienced much in that regard yet.

Last game drove me nuts with the number of technical issues. I've put in twenty hours thus far with no real issues.

The best bed/room i have gotten is at Zy Wagonner's Inn it has an 80 bed rating. It was 120 for it. I love thst the bathhouse is there too. Store my shit, and get my clothes washed and a massage

Haven’t been there I’ve been looking for a bathhouse and a Cobbler, only been to first village and Semine so far

How is the combat?

If you played the first one, quite a bit like it but not as clunky, I’ve only fist fought and used a sword so far though, not sure about the other weapons or sword/shield yet.

The Inn is northwest of the town you start at, it's far but not too far. Just make sure you tell the innowner that you want to stay long.

There seems to be a lot more going on in the open world more so than the first game, just walking from one town to another in the countryside I found plenty of people to talk to, play dice with and got a couple side quests too and that was just along the road.

I’m sure there’s lots happening in the forested areas also like bandit camps, odd folk etc.

Can’t wait to explore more

I’m gonna eventually level up stealth and try some crossbow and bow stuff, archery was pretty complicated in the first game until you had it leveled all the way or at least higher but in the very opening scene using a crossbow seemed a lot easier.

Over in Samine i found a great place to build stealth i went ftom 10 to 20 in no time. Go upstairs by the wall opposite the barn in the Courtyard. There is no door the commander snd guards will be sleeping. Go inside the doorway and up the few steps than turn around and back to the doorway back and forth

When you're walking around with 3k and you're not stealing and robbing.
