Dallas is going to have a horrible defense this year

i have us at 10-6 . have said it all off season . i dont see a team on our schedule we dont have a chance to beat

if the defense makes up the 2 they lost last season we are 10-6

Last year there were difficulties scoring TD's in the RZ with little issues moving the ball between the 20 yard lines. Nothing remains the same as the struggle this season will come between the 20 yard lines, especially on third downs that keep drives alive and putting themselves in scoring position. It's going to be difficult getting into the RZ's but as infrequently as they'll find themselves there they will score TD's this season.

Defensively there will be some noticeable improvements but not enough until they are at or near the midpoint of the season. This defensive team will aid in shortening the field for the offense, but not enough to overcome the struggles converting third downs into first downs.

I can't say that 8-8 is a horrible prediction because I've always maintained that this is a team that will finish somewhere between 7-9 and 9-7 (10-6 if we get some really good breaks).

8-8 is a decent prediction. We could be 4-12 up to 12-4.

The truth is, this preseason should give us some hope on defense and some reluctance on offense.

The defense has shown some marked improvements that should lend hope. Is that a preseason anomaly?

The offense has shown to be inept which should lend doubt. Is that a preseason anomaly?

I have no idea where we are on either side of the ball. I expected great things from this offense and still do. I have high hopes for an improved defense. I hope both happen and we can get to 12 wins.

If neither happen or happen in reverse, we are a .500 team.

If our offense and efense suck, 4 wins is right.

I withhold my prediction to a later date, preferably after meaningful football is played.
