NFL considers banning kickoffs to lessen injuries

While that idea is stupid the kickoff is a joke now. All of them go into the back of the end zone so why not just stop kick offs and start the ball on the 20.

I would rather they go back to the old days of kicking off at from the 20 and let the return folks have a chance but right now it is just a excuse for another set of commercials.

You cannot be a boxer or MMA performer and have this thing about injury. How about making bull riding safer?

You cannot play football all wrapped up in injury. That's the game. It cannot be played safe, it isn't safe, it's vicious and dangerous. If you decide to play the game you are taking a gamble. So it's on you not the game.

Sure there is no place in anything for dirty play. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about leaving things alonE as far as how the game is suppose to be played. The kickoff is one of tHe most exciting plays in the game, you move the ball back to where it was and have the kickoff return, if guys get hurt, that's a shame, but that's the game.

If the NFL is really all worried about player safety, shit can artifical turf and Thursday games other than the Turkey day games.

I'd miss the kick off, I was a return guy in HS.
