Of course, that said, the right offer can make anyone available.
this is true ... you dont just put you head in the sand because you think a guy is one of the faces of a franchise when there is repeated failure
You just look at the way he plays (the diving and the trash talk and the lack of a physically imposing presence for his size) and you look at the playoff production that puckhead posted when you remove all those goals he scored in the nashville series and you wonder. It doesnt help that he seems to be impossible to play with because all he seems to do is carry the puck all night and take wrist shots off the glass
the hip injury excuse is legit and he explained 2 months ago that he still felt pain on striding ... Im hoping he can get healthy ... 41 goals was a high mark and we shouldnt really expect that type of production ... but he should be capable of 30 to 35 per season ... take your 1000 shots (not of the alcoholic variety) per day in the summer and mix in some passing next year Kes!
not sure that is what Mooger meant. I believe he is worried that with this last season you just won't get what you would want. if you can sell him off the nashville series alone its a done deal as the return would be glorious. but I agree with your other points

i was responding to his point of
Gillis shouldnt be blinded by anything that is ancilliary to hockey matters ... take the emotions out of things and if a trade proposal that makes hockey sense arises, consider all options

Mike Fisher is probably the least likely to dive player in the NHL.
