Kershaw with a 15 K no-hitter and Vin Scully announcing? Doesn't get much better than that.

Vin said something like "If you don't mind, I think I'll just sit back and watch this one with ya." I don't mind at all, Vin. You sir, you do whatever the fuck you want.

The best no hitter in history, no walks, 1 error on a routine grounder, 15 Ks and 4 great pitches. Nice job Clayton.

By Game Score, a metric that slaps a single number on a pitcher's performance based on hits and innings and runs and strikeouts and everything else, Kershaw's no-hitter was the second best pitched nine-inning game in baseball history and the best pitched no-hitter in history. Here are the top five games by Game Score:

  1. Kerry Wood, 105 Game Score -- 20-strikeout game against Astros in 1998 (9 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 20 K)
  2. Kershaw, 102 -- No-hitter against Rockies (9 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 15 K)
  3. Matt Cain, 101 -- Perfect game against Astros in 2012 (9 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 14 K)
  4. Nolan Ryan, 101 -- No-hitter against Blue Jays in 1991 (9 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 16 K)
  5. Sandy Koufax, 101 -- Perfect game against Cubs in 1965 (9 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 14 K)
I personally don't buy into all that SaberSheet, but this was on CBS Sportsline.

What an incredible feat. Koufax couldn't have done it any better. How special it is to be a Dodgers fan.

I was really worried when Rojas came to the mound and threw the ball off Kershaw's chest when he wasn't looking, then talked to him. I thought oh damn! If the Rockies get a hit now Rojas will be blamed for it. But maybe it made Kershaw bear down even more thinking I can't let that distract me.

I found it entertaining when Kershaw completely shut him down, not sure if Rojas said anything of importance because Kershaw told him to go back to his spot right away.
