That's crazy too but a couple are definitely over rated in my opinion big time.

Iowa state over a team like Minnesota is comical.

Uh....they had identical records last year with Iowa State having one more loss as they went a round further in the NCAA tourney.

...not sure what is so comical about that?

They dropped a game to Iowa last year by 14 but were very competitive overall.

Uhhhh the comical part would be what both teams lost and return??

The only player on their roster that has averaged 10+ PPG in D1 is a transfer from ODU.

They bring in a Top 25 player, but I think there is a decent chance that this is a down year for Iowa State.

Iowa State lost Monte Morris, Naz Long, Deonte Burton, and Matt Thomas, which accounted for like 75% of their offense. They have a couple transfers coming in who can plug and play right away with Shayok and Talley, but if they are Iowa State's go to players with their role, that won't bode well for them. I'm also not sure their freshman are the type to make a huge impact(but should still be very good within the program)

eh, Thorpe is a high volume, low efficiency guy. Shoots at a low percentage and has a bad assist to TO ratio.

Also, Battle had a pretty decent Freshmen year, but he wasn't in the "best in the nation" tier. I think he can make that jump, but he wasn't on that level last year.

Yeah.....I was putting my best hope forward.

I love KenPom but the early rankings always are awful
