i dont have a problem with the hawks not up for any major indivdual awards that is a total team effort happening there. i suppose Coach Q should be up for the Jack Adams at the very least.

Crosby. Pens.

I think Kane has been a pretty good person and player this year. Everything anyone has brought up about him has been from previous years. Last time I checked things from previous don't count towards this years award. People grow and I think he is a good example of that.

I can appreciate that he has grown as a human being but one year of growth does not put him in the class with St. Louis or some of the other classy players.

With that said, I still think he is an arrogant prick but I do recignize the strides he took this year.

I don't think he should win or even have been nominated, but I don't think its that bad. If a player sucked for 5 years then scored 80 goals the next should he not be eligble for the Hart because of past performance?

We pick on Kane because its fun.

/I will say that somebody must have reached out to him and told him to shape up or ship out.

All bad picks it should have been:

Matt Cooke, Raffi Torres and Colton Orr they all exemplify what the "lady" bing award is about.

A nice gem from Twitter:
Upon hearing he'd been nominated for the Lady Byng, Patrick Kane asked "Is she hot?"

Is this no longer the criteria? "The player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability."

I'm not sure if anyone has figured this out, but I can't stand that little shit.

:heh:

Agreed. There is no way either 20 cent should sniff an award that is about conducting oneself with class.

Stupid award anyway

Cool.

He's been a fantastic player this year. All of the previous, off-ice, indiscretions aside I don't think I'd ever describe Kane as sportsmanlike.

It's only Kenny's favorites, not the real list.

did you know, Jeff Skinner is 21?

I heard he went immediately down the Luck B's (Bates Battaglia's bar downtown) and ordered an extra large, triple sized chocolate milk.
