Nobody is on the ESPN boards much right now. I'm hoping that as the preseason games start, people will be in. I'm trying to avoid openly saying it in the room over there.

My Reds board is awesome over at proboards, but several of those guys are Bengal fans that also chat on the Bengals ESPN board. Those are the ones I can chat with there and bring over here maybe.

I had PM's from forever ago I didn't know was there. But you are also going to run into trying to teach old dogs new tricks. Some are going to be hesitant to move just because they have become familiar with the people there.

One thing you could do, is create a post on the open message board for the specific people you name in the post, to contact you via email, on a free service, and you can tell them about it. This could be quicker and more to the point, plus you can explain easier on why you think we should all move.

Becareful you do not get banend from ESPN for being considered a spammer.

I don't care much. Once the old boards come down in a few days, I probably won't be there anyway, or at least not much. The new format is horrendous.

Sending PM's has never worked too well, in my experience. Overall, I have sent around 100 PM's to people over there, and maybe 2-3 have joined here. I haven't even had anyone reply back. Most the people over there don't even know they have an inbox, IMO.

It is better to just put it out on the main board or team board. That is if you're willing to take the chance of getting banned.
