Two things standing out loud to me.
1. Defense is slow to react on play, leaving them always in the trail position. (fieldNot that it really matters since none can catch the INT when its right in their hands)
2. Dak isn't seeing the whole filed. Maybe last season was a fluke, time will tell, but as I said all last season, I want to see three years before I pass judgement.

Dak had a security blanket in Zeke last season. Most defenses feared the run so Dak was able to connect on play action passes. Don't underestimate Zeke's impact.

Fredricks, Smith, Martin, Zeke are release worthy and an albeit great LBer but at 31 and always hurt is the only one to stay. You're literally talking about the best Tackle, Guard, Center and RB in the NFL. When the OLINE is healthy and Zeke is playing this is a 100% legit playoff team that could do damage in the playoffs. Struggling this year but a possible great pick or two puts you right back in contention.

That's a wise rule of thumb when trying to keep an apples to apples perspective. Troy Aikman and Tony Romo both started 26 games in their first two years as the starting QB of the Cowboys, though Tony did have the advantage of being in his third year at the time of his first start. Dak just played game number 27, and it was a clunker, so I will add it in since it certainly won't help his overall numbers

Dak first 27 games- 18-9 record, 66%, 39 TD, 13 INT, 97.4 rating
Troy first 26 games- 7-19 record, 55%, 20 TD, 36 INT, 61.6 rating
Tony first 26 games- 19-7 record, 65%, 57 TD, 32 INT, 96.2 rating

Dak also has rushed for nearly 600 yards, which is a big part of his game. In addition, Dak's first playoff performance, though a loss, was a 300 yard, 3 TD, 100+ rating performance.

I'm not saying Dak will ever be a better QB than either Romo or Aikman were, but it's a little unfair to compare him to the player either guy was in their 9th or 10th year in the League.

I think a fresh coaching staff will go a long way. The message is stale, and the schemes have been exposed.

I'm not too worried about Dak, either. The guy was just in same conversation with Wentz prior to 3 weeks ago. Now 3 poor performances later and here we are... That said, Dak MUST improve his downfield accuracy, he struggles mightily putting the ball in catchable spots on a consistent basis.

This team needs to get more creative. Many have pointed it out, but it's worth saying again, the Cowboys are the most predictable team in football. It has caught up with them in a big way these past few weeks.

It's time for a new direction. Garrett is not the guy to get this team over the hump.

opinions vary and I remain rock solid with mine. It's funny you didn't see the pressure yesterday, perhaps the box score is your indicator with that point. I saw a QB press in the second half and make poor decisions. I'm no where near defining him as an NFL mediocre QB as you proclaim.

Funny....we should go get us one of those elite QB's to carry this team. That would fix all our problems.
