Vinateri had several of the early iconic moments in the Patriots dynasty. Seriously, what ranks with or above the snow kick and the Super Bowl game winners?

The Troy Brown punt return (complete with forward lateral) is up there. What else? My biggest offensive memory from the first Super Bowl is J R Redmond running out of bounds to stop the clock. Good play. ::shrug:: The idea of Bledsoe coming in as backup and promptly throwing a TD to his old target Brown is cool, but I don't really recall the play. The Faulk direct snap 2 point conversion in the Super Bowl is memorable only because I predicted it a number of plays before it happened. The whole point of the prediction is that it was the obvious, automatic-play choice. Etc.

Stuff like the Malcolm Butler interception is way later in the dynasty than what I'm referring to.

I do have a soft spot for the whole crazy defensive game plan against the Colts that had Harrison at CB, Law at safety, and Vrabel at NT. IIRC, Law caught as many passes from Manning as Marvin Harrison did that game ... (3 each).

Troy Brown didn’t lateral on the punt return. That was during a blocked fg later the same game.

If you had asked me I would have said Law caught 4 passes that night. But I believe you when you say 3. That was one hell of a game.

I think it was something like 3 INTs and a fumble recovery for Law and an INT for Harrison.
