IWCC didn't have a football program back then. Which ssays a ton for their coaching.

Fort Scott has been damn good to us. Still mad we didn't land JPP. Can you imagine him next to Suh and Crick?

Iowa Western CC is in a great location, they get metro kids who don't qualify academically, and rural kids that want to be in a big metro area. They seem to get the top athletic talent 4 sure and their coaches seem to get the job done. About the dorms, what a circus - I certainly wouldn't let my daughter stay there ever...

I imagine Albert's shutting down UNO's football program helped them out a bit too.

No offense, but that was some hacky bullshit. Awful.

Hence why I said interesting article

I get the point of what he was trying to say but his delivery was off

I'm not worried about walk ons I'm worried about getting the talent an guys that can run your scheme
Not dissing walk ons but if your having to rely on them then your in trouble. Not the 90s anymore gotta get the big guns in

TO rarely had top 10 recruiting classes. Yet if memory serves me correctly he had pretty damn good luck with assessing talent at the juco level and getting them to come to Lincoln. Mind you he didn't offer half his scholarshops to those types of players but he was more than willing to go after them compared to what Bo is doing.

I also believe and it's strictly my two cents worth, that TO pushed the walk on program onto Bo and I'm not too sure that Bo's done much more than give lip service to it.

The thing that I always liked about jucos and walkons was that they seemed more greatful to be in a big time school (and usually played/practiced harder) than many of the "full rides". But maybe that's just me.

Just saying some kids develop later than others. Particularly linemen.

Also, Bo should be pushing IWCC to the non-Q's.

there are times and places for jucos. I dont like having to many of them on the roster though. We didnt win Natties with 2 year players. There is a lot to be said for brotherhood and team building . that being said jucos certainly have a place in BCS style football.
