In about 2 years no ordinary Joe will be able to attend a baseball game

He was worth it last year but at this point I wouldn't think you'd get your money's worth on a 4 year deal. I'd give him 25 for one year though

I think he stays with the Braves, I believe he was just waiting for them to include the fourth year.

Thing is if we were one Josh Donaldson from a World Series appearance I would risk it and give him the fourth year and welcome him with open arms but where we need help most the big additions have been Homer Bailey and Rich Hill so no thanks.

On second thought, he just turned 34 so this contract will take him through his age 37 season, he could still be useful then. He only has 4400 plate appearances in his career, fuck it we can win more 10 - 8 games and then get swept by the Yankees in the playoffs again. Welcome aboard Josh!

After all it's just money, right?

This is why I don’t want the Nats to get him. The Lerners love to shell out for pitchers, but young, quality position players that they developed are boring to them. Juan Soto will probably be available in a year or two...
