Forget that he put up huge stats in the biggest Conference game of the week.

Look only at that last drive. We had to have someone get open and do it quick, he did it on back-to-back plays. But the play of the game was when he faked the injury on the 2nd catch to give the team time to get their shit together for a chance to win the game.

Takes a smart player to do that. Player of the week in my book.

Not sure what it looked like on TV, but at the game I thought he was dead on that play (especially after the 4-5 other plays where Tommy got him killed). As the play was getting over the MSU defenders were waving for an official.

I agree with him being POW though.

He definitely faked it.

Any smart player does that though in that situation. You could see when he got up up and was all pumped up he wasn't hurt. The tackle was just a normal tackle. He didn't go down hard, land on anything hard. Just a heads up play. Before he even went completely down I was yelling "STAY DOWN!!!" He did, what a genius.

First thing I thought was that he was buying time. Nebraska had no time-outs and the play clock was going to start as soon as the ball was spotted.

In that case, it's incredible he knew the rules that well and had the situational awareness to know he wasn't gonna get the 10 second runoff. I was thinking we would get penalized for it. Didn't realize if the clock is stopped for a 1st down, that doesn't happen.

Coaches might have told him to do that before he drive started too.

I don't know what you were warchin', he didn't get up unless you mean got to his knees while tapping helmet and fell face first. He took the defenders helmet to the ear hole.

I didn't see that. I saw him get driven into the ground and his head bounced off the ground.

On that 2nd catch with 33 seconds to go?

The guy just grabbed him and gracefully brought him down.

Then Westerkamp lays on the ground for about 2 minutes, gets up and starts going crazy. Throwing his hands up to the crowd.

Am I the only one who saw this? I even rewatched it with some friends that came over after and we were laughing about it.

I saw it. I was wondering how he could've gotten hurt there. Once he got up, I thought he was buying time. I did think they would run 10 seconds off the clock though.

Sorry I am mixing up plays. I was thinking of the one when they took him into the locker room.

I saw it, mang. First thing I thought about when he stayed down.

I think NE1TM2NV is thinking about when he bounced his bean off the carpet earlier. The one that sent him to the locker room.
