Battle of the Dregs tonight as Calgary takes on Colorado - This is not to excuse the terrible team that Calgary has, but when you look at the young talent on the Avs roster (Duchene, Landeskog, ROR just to name 3), they should have a much better record.

Looking at the rest of the Flames schedule, the losses will come regardless as it's pretty tough sledding the rest of the way. Also, I will never cheer for losses even if it looks like it will benefit the team in the long run, as Herman Edwards said "You play to win the game"

Colorado's defense & goaltending leave a lot to be desired. Their GM is an imbecile as well. The Avs would have the Flames 1st round pick if he wasn't such an idiot. They'd get two of the top three guys in this draft.

Besides, I think Colorado is targetting Jones (he grew up in Denver and played hockey when his dad played NBA ball with the Nuggets), thus if the Flames get pick #2 or pick #3, they'll get MacKinnon or Drouin in any event.
