About as not shocked at this as I could be.

"Numerous things that go on such as the way Houston interacts with my family; we're treated in a first-class way," Joseph said. "They helped us when my wife lost our baby daughter in a miscarriage. But they help with anything you ask of them because they are a very caring organization with positive attitudes about its players. In Cincy, we're told how much Gatorade we could take home. In Houston, we get what we request. You get soap and deodorant at your request. You don't have a roommate on road trips."

LOL

But agreed, not much here we don't already know. The Browns treat the Bengals as a business while most other organizations are just in it to win and take any revenue as icing.

Mike Brown must have pocketed a crazy amount of money over the yrs cutting every possible expense...

not sure it's a great idea for an active player to complain about it in the media though

1) The entire league including owners are aware of (and are annoyed of) Brown's style. It won't affect Joseph in the least.

2) Joseph wasn't really complaining. It's not as if he was doing an interview for ESPN. He was back in his hometown of Charlotte and did an interview for a local paper. Considering his earlier response to the question of why he chose Houston to which he briefly mentioned Houston being a better fit, it segwayed into his answer to, "what kind of organization is Houston?". The question is best answered comparatively.

1. Yes, everyone knows Brown is a cheapskate. I don't expect a backlash against Joseph for what he said, but it's still unnecessary and borderline classless.

2. it would have been easy to praise the Houston organization without talking shit on the Bengals. i see players do that all the time. And in today's internet culture he had to know it'd become a national story assuming he has common sense.

Ultimately, who cares?

Are you hurt by the fact that he said it? Would anyone be upset if he said that the Bengals and Mike Brown are as great a used couch from Craigslist with jizz stains? I'm not and wouldn't be.

(And to clarify, I am not talking about you, but the actual people who are pissing their panties in anger because he said it)

He's not saying anything that we don't already know.

Please.

Brown is cheap. We've known this for the past 20+ years. Things are slowly changing. Hopefully by 2030 we'll finally move into the 21st century!

I'm sure he's taught his "values" to Katy Blackburn, who will inevitably assume the roll of "dear leader"

didnt he just buy all the players Ipads? That is a very un-mike brown move. Of course they'll still be busing to a soccer field to practice in December...but at least they'll have their Ipads with them.
