Samuels I get, but Jansen was a nice player for a few years , but simply not HOF worthy. I believe he made one Pro Bowl, and was part of a bunch of losing teams. Samuels was a Pro Bowl fixture for a few years, but sadly also part of one of the darkest stretches of Redskin history.

I really liked both players when they were Skins, but I don't see either as deserving of the Hall. I wouldn't be outraged if one or both made it either though.

How would you guys compare Trent to Chris.. I mean people say Trent is really good but I can't really tell. The only thing I notice on our Oline is Pulumbus getting pushed back 10 yards every other play lol.

Very tough comparison due to the makeup of both teams. As it now stands Samuels had a much better group of O-lineman to work with during his career (guys like Jansen, Dockery, Randy Thomas, etc played very well in big stretches until they were too old, injured, etc). However - the talent for the skill positions is much better at this time for Williams.

Only time will tell on this one. The potential for Williams is significantly higher than what Samuels accomplished. It all depends on his health, other O-lineman the Skins acquire & how the team fares during the rest of his career. His upside is through the roof, but it was also that way for Samuels & his career was cut somewhat short by injuries.

He did go to 6 Pro Bowls, so being nominated is hardly a stretch, they nominated 115 total players. I doubt he becomes a finalist though.

I always likened Samuel's Pro Bowls to Brad Dougherty's NBA All Star appearances. There weren't very many good centers in his conference and the same could be said for Samuels and the LTs in the NFC at the time. I don't see how he is a HOF player if Joe Jacoby remains out. In fact I've got him at best 3rd behind Jake and Jim Lachey on the Redskins LT list.
