Only mentioning it here because I had seen a few Cowboys fans showing interest in him if possible. Well apparently word is, he may have taken payment for signing photos. He was rumored to have been payed by an autograph broker in the five figure range. If so, he is kinda dumb and basically cost himself a likely top ten draft position.

I think you will find more here that don't want that College QB in Dallas. If Dallas misses out on Johnny I will not be upset.

Hoping for Bridgewater or Boyd. Only if we have to trade up for them. If this season goes the way I hope our pick will be 26 or later:hope:

This was a pretty comical item at Disney. There were entire threads during the draft that dealt with ways the Cowboys could move up next year if this ''Franchise QB'' came out early. Seriously lol

Being a lifelong Cowboy fan and an A&M because my Grandad went to school there.. I would love to have Manziel be the Boys QB. If what you say is true and he somehow magically falls to Dallas - imo that would be ideal. He'd have a few years to learn under Romo - With that being said, there's no way Dallas will have that bad of a team within the next three years to acquire him. He'll be a top 10 pick reguardless, imo. It's a nice fantasy, but zero reality. He's a guy who can throw and run, there's slim to none chance and slim just left town.

I wouldn't spend a first rounder on this dude in a million years. Flame out written all over him. He has no clue now, what will he be like when he's a millionaire? Jerry just went on about how he wanted Romo to be more like P Manning. I'm guessing Manning wouldn't give Manziel a ringing endorsement right now. That's not to say that he isn't a good football player, because he is

Just going to throw it out there. He is reported to want out of College station badly. If he is ruled unable to play this season due to violation of NCAA rules, I think he applies for the supplemental draft in 2014. So at that point you have to ask, is he worth a 1st rounder in 2015 because some team will take a flyer on him in that case.

He seems to be a headcase. I wouldn't want anything to do with that guy on my team.

I'm just saying - of the last ten heisman winners, eight were drafted in the first round and five of the eight QB's fitting that description were taken in the top ten. So unless this guy forgets how to ball and/or enters the draft next season - he'll be a top ten'r imo.

If he leaves A&M, I will longer give a crap about anything Johnny Football. I'm not sure why he wants out, it doesn't make any sense. If you can't act right there, what makes you think you can act right on another team? That's that spoiled entitlement coming out in him and it's ugly. With the talent level of this kid (imo) he needs to shut up and play ball. There'll be a new Manziel story weekly anyway, without him making it hard for himself. He needs to burn the book Gronkowski gave him.

I am not sure on all the rules, but if he is kicked out of college football & the supplemental Draft is for College football players, couldn't he just be a walk on as a free agent? Also another thought. Since I don't know much about him or his age. Heard he was a freshman & don't you have to be so many years out of high school before a NFL team can draft/sign you? So would he even be eligible next season?

He was a red shirt freshman last year, so he will be eligible for next years draft.

NO way I want him on this team. He has great NCAA talent, but won't translate to the NFL. Plus his inability to handle the spotlight means he needs to be someplace with a locked down lockeroom and leadership from the top down. Dallas wouldn't be able to contain him.

As for the payment thing, the NCAA has to find payments going directly to him. Never happen.

Not for nothing. But he seems like the perfectly talented on field guy that Jerry would take a chance on even though he has off field issues. If he ends up in next years supplemental draft, would not shock me to see Jerry offer a second. And if by some chance NO team makes an offer in the supp draft, I could see Jerry making him his next undrafted QB god. Especially if he would get to play sit learn behind Romo for two years, which is basically a lock considering Romo is almost uncuttable until at least June 1st 2015.

I can't help but laugh at WFRYE. He wanted us to trade everything away and invest our future in him.
