He's easily their best chance to win, but they're the Browns. They don't know any better. They'll put 36 year old Josh McCown back in there and throw 3 yard crossing routes all game, and continue to lose.

I wouldn't say awful. Benjamin and Barnidge are good pass catchers and Duke Johnson is a good RB it's just the O-Line that sucks.

look bad today at all

He didn't...I thought he scored on the breakaway from JJ...Butler played some mind games with him and when he didn't bring pressure, he found soft coverage and completed a lot of 10+ yd throws. When he did bring pressure or the back end coverage was good...6 sacks.

I thought he scored as well.

in his defense, yes, when there was pressure, or back end coverage there were 6 sacks, but dear god there could of been 20 if not for him eluding things......he was under siege

Yea their secondary has been awful. They bleed yards all game but come up with turnovers so in the end nobody really cares.

I'll withhold judgement on Manziel until I see him play a halfway decent secondary. My guess is he will get dominated.

But I will admit the kid has some crazy scrambling abilities. He's like a frantic deer in the pocket. Difficult to corral.

Manziel against Bengals...

15/33, 168 yards, 1 TD.

He's too small to ever have a good completion percentage. He's just not gonna be a good starter in this league. Too small. Too much of a bonehead too. Lets not forget that.

It's funny to see how similar the games against the Bengals and Steelers were

The Bengals won 30-10
The Steelers won 30-9

Manziel in Steelers game...33/45, 372 yards, 1 TD

Night and day pass defense. Gaudy numbers by Manziel. Same result.

Maybe you did, but it was one of those games you had to see I think.

Actually both teams abandoned the run for long stretches, but I think CLE was down like 3 possessions and PIT played mostly 3 man rush and zone in the 2nd half...they came after him a few times on 3rd down and sacked him 6 times. He's a different player when he has to get rid of it quick....to his credit, he completed the passes, and played well, but they were never in the game. A little misleading.

I think right now the key is to rush him, as he gets nervous quickly and looks to scramble. If you don't rush him with more than 4, then the DL just needs to stay in front of him.

He mentioned more than once that he struggled against the Bengals because he couldn't see over their DE's (Johnson is 6'6", and I think Dunlap is 6'5") on quicker throws he needed to make.

The offense needs to be built to move the pocket around him so that he can use his ability to find guys, plus scramble if needed.

The fumble on his first pass attempt was hilarious. I'm of the opinion that he had a poor game because of that fumble, the INT later in the game, and the fact that his team only scored 9 points, but I understand that he passed for a lot of yards. I thought that he did score on that run, however.
