I would call this season one of the Clippers better seasons - and yes they made it to the second round a few times, but lets face the music here. We can count the number of times that the Clippers have made it to the playoffs and get to the second round and this year they were thought to be the best team they have ever had. They actually thought they could win a championship this year

When a metaphor is used in literature, it quite often is not literally correct or truthful, but it illustrates a principal or an idea that is correct. In this case in general the Clippers best season is not much better if any then the Lakers worst season, so in general that tweet was absolutely correct.

The bottom line is that the Lakers still own this town and the Clippers is like the little bastard born out of wedlock that families used to hide from public out of shame. That's something else in history that you might not understand either and will have to and get some wisdom from your parents to know what I am talking about
