Opted out of his last year in Tampa. I know Sandberg hasn't really had much of a shot, but fuck it-Maddon was made for this team. Just clean house now. Fire Amaro, Sandberg bring on Maddon. Release a couple high paid veterans if he thinks it's the right thing to do and let him build a team.

Love to have Maddon. He works with young players well. But I don't think that he would like to become another Amaro puppet The Cubs would be a good fit. However there are rumors about tampering by the Cubs. If Maddon goes there then Tampa may call for an investigation. All in all Maddon will want to be in full charge on the field so that leaves out the Phillies.
