Let's hope that, come tomorrow, Joe Jacoby will be -- deservedly -- in the Hall of Fame.
The case for Joe Jacoby, Hall of Famer
Excerpt
So maybe it’s better for others to make the case for Jacoby. They will tell you how Jacoby played in 21 playoff games, more than any other Hog, and tied for the most in Redskins franchise history. They will tell you how he started in five NFC championship games and four Super Bowls for perhaps the most dominant team of the 1980s. They will point out how Jacoby was the bedrock of a line that produced two of the three best rushing performances in Super Bowl history, how he won Super Bowls in front of three different quarterbacks and three different running backs. They will note that during his 13-year tenure, the Redskins ranked fourth in the NFL in yards, third in points, second in time of possession and second in wins — just ahead of the Marino Dolphins, and behind only the Montana/Young 49ers.
I have no idea why OL get snubbed. Orlando Pace is not in and that's hard to understand as well. Jake was the anchor of the original Hogs, let's all hope.
Congrats Jake on the birth of your grandson...future Skins LT
This could go down as one of his better weekends.
