I wonder if Wade's 34 would better suit this team or Gus's 43 Tampa 2 style of D?

Greg Manusky may be an option since he was retained. Will likely get an interview at the very least.

Keep in mind that, although our defense runs from a base 3-4, it's in its nickel 4-3 look most of the time. So basically we can mix and match concepts for the most part. If we switched to a traditional 4-3, the issue will become whether our pass-rushing OLBs can switch to putting their hands in the dirt. I know Kerrigan probably can and Smith and Murphy too since they played DE in college, IIRC. But what about Junior Gallette, if he comes back?

Since we are starting over, I doubt Gallette is an option going forward.

I've heard that and I think there is more to it. I really think there is a tangible difference.

I think the worst part about barry was the lack of development from our young players. Excited to see who we bring in.

Why not? Most any DC would want a pass rusher.
Because of his injury history and the fact that he hasn't seen the field in almost 3 seasons. I truly believe it will be a "out with all old & in with new" philosophy with the exception of 2-3 proven FA's the FO brings in.

ICYMI: Wade Phillips son, Wes, is the Redskins TE coach. Hopefully, that convinces him to come here. We can only hope.

Because of his injury history he will come on the cheap. IM fine with bringing him to camp. But he needs to be there as a earn it prove it stay healthy through the preseason type. And we need to have other options in case he cant stay healthy.

I think you know IM a huge Wil Comptom fan. I can live with Mason Foster.

Ziggy Hood and Freaky Jean should be backups, but Im cool with them making roster.

We need two starting D-lineman and a FS, and hopefully we get a DC Who can blind them with Brilliance, instead of baffling with BUllshit.

I really really miss Marvin Lewis, and Gre Double G.

Galette was on the radio yesterday and said he's already talked to Scot and basically has a one year minimum deal in the works. Said he just wants to prove himself and it's all about pride at this point. Not sure if that gets him a roster spot, but I expect him in camp.

Another position coach? You would think they would want a guy who was a coordinator in his past.

He decided to retain Haz when everyone here knew he shouldn't have been retained. Grudes is already 0-2 as far as d-coors go.

Jay hired both Haslett and Barry because he wanted to give his mates a chance. He needs to think "who can come here and shape my D up?" At this point he's got to think about his own job.

Don't care who they hire as long as the D isn't soft! They need to get a mentality of inflicting pain on D.
