How I rank the QBs performances today (I know, different QBs saw different personnel en sech...):

1. Brion Carnes - Most confident QB we have.......played very well.....played within himself.
2. Ron Kellogg - Probably the best passing QB we have. He played alright today.
3. Cody Green - Played like shit the first half, but played a little better the second half. Really only had 1 nice pass though.
4. Taylor Martinez - Was limited, but didn't play well when he was in....in my opinion.


How I rank overall performances today:

1. Rex Burkhead - Just solid every time he touches the ball. He does everything correct it seems.
2. Jamal Turner - Electrifying.......just as Tim Beck said.
3. Brion Carnes - See above.
4. Brett Maher - Yea he missed a field goal en sech, but made a couple, won the game with one, and also punted the football exceptionally well today........I was pleasantly surprised with how he punted.

i thought Carnes looked like a better passer than RK III

but I agree on everything else, well I wouldn't rank Rex as the best performance.. he didn't do too much.

I also thought Eric Martin looked really good getting push off the OL's, and Kevin Williams got in a few times too.

The reason I rank Rex as best performance is because everything he did was good. He is the one player we have that I am pretty sure can turn any play into a positive play. He actually got quite a few touches in that first half.

I felt like Turner made a couple mistakes and Carnes made a few, which is to be expected.

Also, as far as defense goes.........not being at the game it's hard to tell who is doing well on defense. The radio announcers literally focus only on offensive players for these Spring games.

They did mention Kevin Williams towards the end of the game as being a player who stood out defensively.

it was hard to judge any of the defensive players outside of the linemen, because of back up receivers and shitty throws en sech.

Andrew Green got burned pretty bad on the last Carnes TD though..

Overall though, while I put him at #3 on my performance list, the player I am most excited about right now is Brion Carnes.

I got to see the actual video of the kid after the game, and he reminds me of Tommie.......just with the way he carries himself on the field. That kid is confident, and he seriously believes he is going to start.

I love that about him. A couple of those passes he threw today were absolutely gorgeous too. That one to the sideline on the run..........wow.

Agree with JJM on overall performance. Burkhead is the man and the young guys entertained. Seems there were alot of young guys making noise. Carnes/Turner looked especially exciting in the video highlights.

Good times. Enjoyed listening. Davison is fun and makes me lol. Decent football fix going into summer.

And Beck having them run option and FB trap is going to make him an instant genius with certain segments of the fans lol. Just alot of stuff to smile about.

And yeah, I get the part where it's just practice, why so serious. Doesn't mean it can't be good fun.
